Gallbladder

Hey everyone i had a hida scan back in October of this year. Everything came back normal but i am still having upper right side pain tightness burning and cramping i have also been super nasouas but i can't throw up i also get sick to my stomach after everything i eat. I have also been runnong a low grade low between 100 and 101. The other day i thought my appendix was bursting because the pain was so bad. Does anyone think this could be gallbladder related?

Sounds like it. I was nauseous for over a year and a half. Went ER three times in that time period. They told me all numbers on tests ok. Yeah right. I hate Doctors. Finally met a surgeon who agreed to remove gallbladder. No nausea anymore. And my digestive system is finally getting back to normal.

Yeah i think i need my removed I'm sick of all those nasoua i wish i could find a surgeon that would agree to remove mine.

Have you had ultrasounds or CT scans done? You could have stones or sludge. And what's considered "normal" for a HIDA scan is a pretty big range, 35-65%. If you're low on the range, you could try finding someone who will remove it. Otherwise, surgeons won't really remove your GB unless there's something wrong with it good luck.

I haven't had a CT done recently my last one was done in janaury. I had an ultrasound done in the ER a 8 days ago but i think they were just checking for stones. Not sludge

Hi jenni81195, to be honest if they find anything untoward with scans you should be questioning it, sludge can be worse than stones, sludge can hold tiny stones and get into the ducts, as can the sludge and cause inflammation.  On my Ultrasound she showed me how the sludge moves around as we lay on our side and how if on your right hand side this can cover the ducts.   It was very interesting watching this sludge moving around I have to say.  But any stone small or big can get lodged in a place not wanted!!  This is one of the reasons why night time can be just as bad as after eating with GB, the sludge when sitting upright will drop to the bottom.  Which again is why they say when sleeping raise your torso???

What was the ejection fraction % on your HIDA, anything under 35% no good. Also, anything above 80% also not good, that is called hyperkinetic. Lots of doctors don’t recognize it, but I have it and I belong to a group of people on FB that also have it. It could be either one. Under functioning or over functioning.

I don't know they never told me.
