i have question aka i would like to know people who suffer from something similar... basically can gallstones pain be moderate? i mean just like semi sharp pain? only on back right bellow ribs? would be bloating a symptom as well? i went through ultrasound 6 months a go and they didnt find any issue...but recently i am having a pain on my back....its not pulled muscle...it comes for few hours and goes...some days its not present at all... just me thinking too much. the pain is close to spine on right side right under my ribs.... no issues with urinating or any other pain... as i have gastritis as well and the doctors are thinking its in my head... but its clearly not... i am due for another specialist visit in 10 days but i just wanna know.... after each meal i have bad cramps...no diarrhea or stool discoloration. thanks
If you are having symptoms like:
- back pain ( especially the left side )
- more noticeable after meals. Or in the morning just after waking up.
- pain in the chest, again on the left side.
Then it has possibly to do with your stomach. It can be gastritis or bacterial infection etc.
Obviously, something like cramps cannot be a result of your thinking only. ![]()
Gastritis can cause pain beneath the ribcage and back pain. Maybe you are having a gastritis flare up? Gallstones would have shown up on your ultrasound.
pain only right side…moderate sharp… i say 6/10… only on the back
i thought as well.. but my liver is fine… and sharp pain that comes and go i am lost..
Have you tried doing a food diary to see if a particular food is the cause? Pain after every meal may suggest this. Your specialist should be able to give you answers in ten days time when you see him.
did try gluten free…tried green only…tried keto diet… nothing has effect…
thank you for your time
i have gastritis and my pain started on my right side then moved to the left and center i get it all over in the upper abdomen. i also no longer have a gallbladder it was removed about 8 years ago.
This symptom of : “pain coming and going” looks more related to stomach, ie. gastritis. Because what comes and goes in your body is mostly food, which you cannot avoid. When you eat food, and there is something that flares up your infection, you feel like it has arrived back. And when your food intake has nothing that flares it up, you feel like it’s fine. In this case infection must be sorted out. Because just regulating the food is not solution, as infection is still there.
However, only for the sake of testing if it’s the food intake that is flaring up the stomach infection you can try limiting your diet to strictly digestible food. Like avoiding bread, toast, tea, coffee at any cost. You may at least understand that it’s probably the stomach infection only. ( Or even after strict diet it’s still occuring, then may be it’s not gastritis )
was your pain on the back? as 8have almost no pain on front
Though only thing which is unrelated in my opinion is the ‘right’ side back pain. Stomach problems can give more pain on the left side of body. legs, hip, back, chest on the left hand side.
Rather than an elimination diet/change of diet have you tried noting down every food you eat and any symptoms you may get?
i have days where my only symptom is back pain and days where its both and days wheres its pain free
