Gallstones without gallbladder?

Merry Christmas all

Twice this week including today I’ve had pains in my upper abdomen which remind me of gallstone pain but I had my gallbladder removed 2 years ago.

Apparently it can happen. Has anyone had this?

Thanks

Renée

Morning..yes it can happen I've only recently had mine removed but was informed you can still get attacks further down the line.you need to make sure it isn't a bile build up,I would go to go tomorrow just to get advice and make sure

I have experienced the same pain and it is terrible. Yes, you can get stones in your duct even though you no longer have a gallbladder. You can get pebble size stones and they are extremely painful. When you have a bad attack like this I would suggest going to the ER where they can do a CAT scan or an MRI to see if you do in fact have stones in your duct.
