Hi. I'm having my band fitted 28/2/15 near Manchester , is anyone else in the same situation?????
Hi Jules,
Just had mine fitted on Saturday. This is a popular place for people getting the band. So I'm sure you will find someone having one done about the same time in the meantime, don't worry about the op, it's not too bad at all
Hi thanks for your reply , the silly thing is I'm more worried about what to say to people when they notice I'm not eating like I used to? I'm only telling one person I'm having it done,
I only told 2 friends, my parents and my partner. If you're anything like me and have been on diets for most of your life, nobody will find it strange that you are on 'another diet'. I don't think anybody would ever figure out the truth. I'm just planning on having things that I know won't cos issues like soup and ice cream for pudding.X
hey Jules and Angel, same as me - i've only told my parents, partner and two friends too. I've had conversations with them about this as they think i'll get questioned too - if I go ahead with this (and it works) I'll be telling them that i've changed my eating habits and am taking smaller portioin sizes!!!
Woud you guys mind letting me know how you get on with your bands? x
Yeah no probs. this board is very helpful for advice on the band
Hi yes of course , when are you planning to have yours angel and Indy ?
Possibly 7th March Jules - though, i was speaking to others in another thread - I may change!!! x
I had mine on Saturday
How r u feeling? Any problems?
Why what's happened?
I had a really crappy consultation! He was more interested in firing statistics at me rather than the information that I really needed.
That's not good, I was quite surprised by mine I thought there may be a hard sell but it was the complete opposite.
maybe u need to look around
Hi jules.bo
Did you have your op? I'm having mine in Manchester in 2 days and I am so scared!
Please let me know how you have gone on 😊 x
Hi yes had my op , I was very scared as well but all went well . The pain was minimal and I was up and about straight after. The only problem I had was terrible trapped wind , nothing I took or did got rid of it x
it took me a few days to feel 'normal', you will be fine don't worry
Thank you for replying 😊 how are you getting on now? I'm concerned about the iron fist feeling (I already suffer from anxiety which causes chest pain) and I'm concerned that I will mistake this feeling for my heart n have panic attacks again lol. Can I ask where in Manchester you had the surgery? X
Hi , I have periods of anxiety also but none since my band was fitted so I wouldn't worry. Listen to your body and stop when start to feel full or u probably will have that heavy feeling.
I had op in chorley
