I have been suffering from ulceractive colitis for a long time.Doctor has given me various different tablets to take but these tablets make my ulcerative colitis symptoms worse that what they are when I am not taking these tablest.Recently I have been suffering with abdominal pain and feeling bloated and burning sensation in my stomach.Had gastroscopy and the doctor has said that I have gastritis in my stomach.I have been given Lansprazole to reduce the acid in my stomach.i have been taking the tablets for over a week now but my symptoms are still the same.Don,t feel like eating anything and burning sensation all the time.Any one suggest anything else I should try for these symptoms. Can,t sleep at night as well.
See if you can get a different PPI. I take Nexium, and it seems to work. Also, you could try Gaviscon or Tums.

Get a test for HPylori you have all the symptoms that this stomach bacteria causes. Also, Mastic Gum is very good for stomach complaints it is s natural medication and many people on forums are now using it for their tum complaints, you can get it on Ebay and Amazon under the name Mastika....best wishes....
I have also been suffering from Gastritis, esophagitis & dueodenitis for 1 & half years now. I've had 4 endoscopies, ct scans, MRI scans ,barium swallow tests, numerous blood tests and been seen by 4 different gastroenterogists. Tested negative to H Pylori & any parasites. I get burning pain in stomach, crampy pain in abdomen area & have trouble swallowing and talking. I am off most foods and feel hopeless for the future. Daily life is a misery but I carry on as best as possible. I have given up with the medical people because all they prescribe is acid suppressing meds, pain killers & antibiotics etc. I would just say change your diet for a while, try probiotics, pears, bananas, apples, coconut water, sweet potatoes, jacket potatoes and most vegetables and see if the pain easies. It seems to help me with my symptoms than any medicines the doctors ever gave me.I have been putting too much chemicals (medicines) in my body which has excaberated my problems i.e. I have no acid left. I hope you find a way to help yourself as I am trying. Unfortunately Gastritis is a broad condition with complex reasons and symptoms which in my case is not understood by the medical profession at all.
