Gastritis? Night time abdominal discomfort

hi all, for almost 2 weeks now I have been experiencing on going abdominal discomforts to varying degrees. Sometimes they bother me during the day but I can go all day feeling completely normal and then during the night I will wake up with abdominal pains/discomfort.

At first I thought it was constipation, and treated it as such but the constipation got better/ cured and the problems still remain.

i have been to a&e because after a week I couldn't take it and was causing me a lot of anxiety. Bloods came back clear. Went to GP, he suspects gastritis however I'm not convinced. Being referred to have an ultrasound and waiting for helicobactor pylori test results.

the pain is a bizarre spasm type mid upper abdomen, sometimes it will be a heavy feeling in my lower abdomen (which is what through some off gastritis). I've tried not eating after 6 to see if it helps, at first I thought it did after a full nights sleep for the first time in over a week, but the new the next night the discomfort returned.

Its causing me great anxiety and I'm having to call out sick from work. Can anyone shed some light or had similar experiences?

i don't have heart burn, and I guess the upper pain I see gnawing. But i also have bloating and lower abdominal discomfort at times too, all primarily at night.

Sounds very similar to the the earlier symptoms I had when I had gall stones,

Could be in agony for hours and then it would just stop some days

Some days cramps and some days nothing

I can't remember if my bloods were clear, if my brain serves me correctly they were found when I collapsed at work with a severe attack and sent to a&e and had a scan

Perhaps ask for a scan even if it's. What I've it rules out gall stones

Thanks for your reply. Was up all last night with nausea which is a first, all other times have been pain rather than sickness. I managed to get my scan moved forward to tomorrow so fingers crossed I get answers of some sort.

Hope all goes well and you get some answers.
