**I AM POSTING THIS FOR MY SISTER . SHE IS 57 years old. She has been having digestive problems for most of her life but recently it has gotten much worse. She has always had problems with irritable bowel snydrome but recently she has developed many more symptoms and problems. She began developing gas burps about 9 months ago followed by throwing up and sever diarrhea each time after eating. She had multiple test done including: Upper GI SERIES, Gastroscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound, Colonoscopy, Gastric emptying test, abdominal xrays. All these TESTS CAME BACK NEGATIVE! After all of is the specialist told her he thought it was the TRAZODONE that she had been taking for years SO she slowly came off of it and She got better for a short time. But without the trazodone she was unable to sleep & her fibromyalgia got worse. SHE now is back to square one and once again this all starts with what she calls GAS BURPS? WE are at out wits end? Has anyone else experience this?

What does your sisters diet consist of? perhaps if she changed her diet to gluten free, lactose free, wheat free. Leave out spicy foods citrus fruit and fizzy drinks and take probiotics to put good bacteria in her gut. Some foods can cause excessive wind and an excess of bad bacteria can do this too…give the above a trial run for approx a month…best wishes
hi mate. ive literally had all the same issues, had all the same tests, and no answers. on top of that i lost a close family member and it got me really low - which led me to take multiple overdoses. i must say since getting help for the depression, my vomiting has declined a lot. i am starting to think it could of been a mental thing all along. i still suffer with ibs but have done all my life. maybe it could be a mental thing with your sister?
Hi, is your sister taking the Trazadone again?
If she is, she needs to talk to doctor about trying some other medications for sleep and her Fibro as well. I have Fibro too. Also, at this point I would also suggest she seek genetic counselor as well for testing.
