Just had a gastrocopy examination after a couple of weeks worry due to reading some of these posts but was all a bit scare mongering .chose to have throat spray as had to drive home due to disabled wife came with me .spray courses a bit of gagging when sprayed in throat after that bit uncomfortable feeling tube travelling down throat and into stomach but no pain over in about 15 minutes was leaving hospital after about 45 minutes when throat spray wore off .would definitely use spray again

I had no gagging when spray was administered into my mouth it was just a mist spray, an hardly felt the tube at all so I'm guessing it depends how relaxed the individual is and who is doing the procedure.
Just a reaction to the taste only for few seconds till spray took affect just a lot of people seem to say they have had bad experience but mine went ok lot of worry over nothing just the fear of the unknown on first test
Yes I totally agree it was the unknown. Mine was ok too an I wouldn't hesitate if another was needed.
I believe people only comment on bad experiences that was why I felt the need for a positive review an hopefully this will help to put others at ease as it was nowhere near so bad as I had anticipated by reading other reviews.
