I am new to this site but am getting desperate I have had a biopsy done which I might add was not very comfortable thankfully no trace of cancer. My problem is I have had this condition for approx 18 months before seeking medical advice I am using dermovate daily if I dont use it for a day or two I am back to square 1. It developed soon after my husband died in 2009, I have an underactive thyroid also pernitious anaemia and am diabetic all of which may contribute to LS, also I have Lichen Planus the full length of my spine.

Has anyone got any advice is there any herbal remedies that have been found to help I am at the end of my tether.

Hi Gaynor, I recently posted a query and, like you, haven't seen any response. Its such a pity as when I last used this forum there were plenty of folk in our position. If you find another website that would help us would you be kind enough to let me know and I will do the same for you if I find one. I hope your symptoms, which sound really bad clear up.

Yes this forum has become quiet but please bare with it, the new forum is coming shortly and it's great, no more registrations needing to be approved by Admin and lovely looking wink Please don't give up on us :ok:

Hello ladies, I have had LS for years and one thing I have learnt is every person with LS will find what works for one person doesn't always work for another. We are all very isolated with this problem and we can only tell each other about our own experiances . Gaynor in a way you answer yourself why you have LS. Many people put the start down to trauma, whether it be physical like child birth or the loss of a loved one. Stress is one of the reasons I get flare ups and christmas is one of them. Go back to your consultant and make sure you are applying your cream correctly. I had the same problem couldn't go more than a day inbetween using the cream. It was found I didn't use enough cream and in the right areas to get on top of the problem. My consultant said I should be symptom free with no flare ups but you have to get things under control properly . I now use my cream twice a week. Bianca I haven't heard of the cream you have been given, but all I can say if it burns that bad go back to your doctors and insist on a different cream. I used demovate to start with but I now use Trimovate cream, this cream has dermovate in it and an anti-bacteria plus an anti thrush , 3 in one. All the best to you both x
