Hi Susanne,

Very interesting article. As in my case with PMR my doctor was unaware of the symptoms and at one stage doubted that I had PMR until this was explained to him (and me having a full blown flare). It is probably the same with GCA and as usual it is down to the patient to self diagnose if possible. Articles like this hopefully make people more aware so thank you for bringing it to the forums attention. Dave (tavidu)

I did put out a shout a bit back as the Mail was looking for people with bad experiences of diagnosis of GCA to do an article on, possibly a series and a request was issued via the national PMRGCAUK forum.

Just read article in Mail. Doctors need to be more aware of GCA and problems that arise.

I would like to read the article but can't seem tofind it!  Any ideas?

It's under the Health tab in the online version of the Mail. I think it was about the third story.

Thanks Susanne very interesting article but made me more than cross!  Imagine NHS ignoring the rollout programme!
