I have two questions about transmission
1.) If someone has HSV1, but do not have an active sore, if they were to either kiss my skin or kiss an open wound OR get their saliva in someones open wound, could that be grounds for contracting HSV1?
2.) I know you can contract HSV from someone without symptoms b/c viral shedding occurs. This may sound stupid but how/where does viral shedding occur? Is the shedding in someones bodily fluids or is the shedding in the areas where the person with the herpes breaks out?
I know this sounds confusing but I want to be more aware. Im just confused how I will see pictures on here of herpes on the lower pubic region where one would shave but not on the labia/vaginal area where the oral sex occurred? Does herpes just like moist areas or open cuts? Whole virus is so weird.
