hi everone. Since our last conversations I have had time to consider all the helpful information you have given me . Going to see my doctor and ask for a referral to one of The Consultants so I may discuss all this new info with him. After a day and a half of calmness have had two attacks in two days and in the middle if ibenis. No balance nausea spinning hearing cracking and head pressure pretty awful. But thanks to you all I have comfort that you are all with me both suffering and comforting. It will ease.
Let you know the response from my unresponsive doctor. Have to smile
Hello Rita - so sorry to hear that you have had another attack. Menieres is such a unpredictable, invisible condition, and there is not enough known about it.
Do you work, if so is your employer sympathetic to your condition? I find this really difficult and frustrating, and when I am off sick from work with my condition, I get upset and frustrated, because being sick has an impact on my employment.
Is there anything that can be done I wonder?
Hi Sharon. My history in brief. Menieres when I was 27. Am now approaching 84! Long time. Sadly it has travelled to both ears which is
why I am slowly getting worse. Thus group has helped me in that I no longer feel alone. So many of us suffering thus debilitating disease. They have given me so much info so plan to get yet another referral with my new info and see what happens.
wish you all the best.
Sharon. Sorry I think my reply is rather negative. When zi was diagnosed it was a long time ago, they do not carry out the surgery now that zi had then.So much has been advanced these days I am sure if you speak to your ENT consultant you will find him much more positive and helpful. Good luck.
