Why do I need to know if I have genetic copd? Is the treatment different from regular copd?
I never before heard of genetic COPD. My case is a result of too many years of self abuse (mainly smoking). A medical professional may be better qualified to respond to your inquiry.

Some of the inhaler medicine is that as prescribed to other lung patients and some of the treatment will differ from “regular COPD”
People with Alpha1 are referred to a specialist hospital for assessment and treatment and usually it is recommended that the whole family be tested.
