HSv1 isnt always on your mouth. If you get oral or something it may have spread to your lower area
HSV1 affects orally and genitally.
So either your current partner or previous partner has had oral HSV1 (coldsores) and passed to you through oral sex. Or they have it genitally and passed it that way.
Herpes effects people differently. Most people with it live asymptotically and carry the virus with out ever knowing, but passing through viral shedding.

HSV1 can be transmitted to the genitals in 2 ways.
- someone with oral HSV went down on you, with or without symptoms, and transmitted it.
- Someone had HSV1 genitally and transmitted it to you through skin contact (sex, protected or not, or just rubbing).
80% of the population have HSV, 80% of them dont know theyre positive due to lack of testing (not including in STD panels), and lack of symptoms (people can be asymptomatic for years).
