you would know if it is because it will become very painful to perform a bowel movement. the opening will swell hugely and there may be pus discharge. if that happens go and get swabbed and start a course of aciclivir which will shorten the outbreak. I didnt know what it was and left it for nearly a week. it was agony.
also, if symptoms do worsen, dont put off going to a sexual health clinic. they’re all very professional and have seen it all before. it’s not a time to be shy

my results came back and I am negative … doctor said u r a bit positive of hsv 1 but he added that 90%of the blood test comes positive of this hsv 1…so good news for me is that I am hsv negative and this was just anal fisaure… that’s it…
