I have a question. I was just recently diagnosed with genitall herpes and my boyfriend is the one who gave it to me. If we both have HSV 2, is it possible to get it on our mouth or lips when having oral sex? if its already on genitals? i have been sexually active with my bf for 1 1/2years, and he never cheated, and i just now acquired the virus. He didnt even know he had it due to such mild outbreaks..still in shock tbh…im just scared that i wont know hes contagious during oral sex one day and then get it elsewhere (my mouth)
I think typically after the first outbreak, your body creates antibodies that would prevent you from giving it back to him at a different site. I was just reading about this and, from what I understood, ya’ll should be okay. I’d just stay away from oral sex if the receiving partner had sores. (Don’t give your boyfriend oral if he’s having an outbreak, don’t let him give you oral if you’re having one).
