Here are some of my tips for GH because I know how horrible the first couple of outbreaks can be!
First things first, a lot of people online have been posting about how depressed and sad GH has made them. You are allowed to be upset! But take a few deep breaths and remember, you are NOT alone! 1 in 4-6 people have this, so the next time you're in the office at work or on a bus just remember there's someone else just like you! Also just remember that 8-10 people with GH don't produce any symptoms, so there might be even more people closer to home who may have it and are yet to experience it! another thing, a lot of people talked about how disgusting they felt and it has put them off getting 'close to someone' my advice would be take your time getting to know someone, if they like you enough it won't even bother them! It's only contagious when it blisters anyway, and as I saw one person say, just treat it as an annoying skin condition tht just flares up. I know it can be hard not to get angry at someone too if you thought they have given it to you but remember that this virus may remain dormant for years and years so it may not have been a cheating partner at all, it could even have been from an coldsore. Trust me, as hard as it is now, it will get better 😀 I had to give myself a reality check and say you know what it's just like a coldsore in the most unfortunate place! Think how people in developing countries feel if they can't get anti virals and have to wash with bacteria infested waters which could lead to an infection! It's hard to come to terms with at first, but it could be a lot worse, just think how people who have HIV feel.
Now my steps for treating GH-
1. Wash the area and clean it with pure water or salty water (Epsom salts are pretty good), keeping it clean will prevent infection.
2. If possible, have a few rest days. Stay in bed to avoid the friction of walking.
3. I SWEAR by these products and have to thank someone on here for telling me about them. They also said their doctor had 2 patients with GH and these products have prevented all OB! The first is Mellisa Lemon Balm Oil (I bought it off Amazon for £10/5 for 10ml, the real stuff is about £50 for 50ml) and licoris oil extract. Put the both of these of a cotton swab and rub all over, you'll see the wonders of it in a few days!
3. Immune boost vitamins, too boost your immune system and calm down the virus (I use Oxford vitality OV immune boost from Amazon)
4. Just a general good diet (hardest part for me 😂
I hope you all feel better soon, and remember, it could be worse!
