I am 19 years old and ever since I started having sex (18 ) the day after my vagina always hurts or swells and is uncomfortable. I get yeast infections all the time and my vagina is very sensitive. I had sex three days ago and my vagina started itching while I was itching I noticed it was swollen (it doesn't hurt). I googled what it could be and I have no idea. I'm scared to tell my mom(whom I still live with) and don't want to go to the doctor unless it's urgent
You can have your mom take you but she doesn't have to know because your 18 and by law, you don't have to tell her and the doctor can't tell your mom why you were seen and what you may have. If you like, you can go to a clinic like planned parenthood where they do certain examinations for free. It sounds like a yeast infection to me. I am not a doctor.
I am not a doctor either but this does not sound like herpes. Your symptoms are too generalized (pain and swelling), plus you would likely have a fever, body aches etc if this was your first herpes outbreak.
You probably do have a yeast infection, it also could be the friction from sex causing these symptoms. Use a water based lubricant always with condoms, even if you think you are wet enough.
I highly recommend the oral tablet "Difflucan One" for yeast infections, it can be purchased OTC (I am writing from New Zealand...not sure where you are). It is a bit pricey but works well and clears the infection fully in about a week. I always start to feel better within 24hrs.
Also wear loose clothing and cotton or bamboo underwear. Never wear underwear to bed.

Update: I missed three days of my birth control but I caught up and I started spitting today it's not swollen today but it is still itching. I have also had plenty of yeast infections but I'm not having any white discharge or anything
