so a few days ago my husband said he woke up with soem discomfort in his penis. well upon my looking at it i found clusters of only about 6-10 blisters. now i have had two best friends that have/had herpes so i know what it looks like. well hes been putting neosporin on it and they have now turn to small sores only 3 of them. they arent inflamed and dont seem to bother him. this is his first outbreak. how long after the sores heal can we have sex? and we dont know FOR SURE its herpes but it looks like it. i havent had any signs of the virus.
Haven't you both seen a doctor yet? If it is genital herpes, then it isn't the sort of thing to try to treat at home. You could either see your GP, or if you're in the UK, you could go to a genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinic - google "GUM clinic near me" for details.
If you could update this thread and tell us what the doctors say, it would be appreciated. Good luck.
we have not yet. i work 7 days a week and we have no vehicle so we walk most places. we are in the US. his sores just look like hair bumps that are healing. i dont want to have intercourse until they are completely healed and i feel like im hurting his feelings by telling him no. idk if i have it or not. ive never had an out break or anything of the sort. we split up in july and he slept with another girl and the condom broke. she has to be the source bc i havent been with anyone except for him in two years.
I hope you can find a way to see a doctor. Planned Parenthood have free or low-cost STI testing in some places.
In the meantime, these links may help, though the second one is written for doctors:

https://patient.info/doctor/genital-herpes-simplex
and this is the genital herpes forum on this site:

Good luck!
thank you so much. i was freaking out at first bc i know its incurable and if not treating correctly canbe very painful. he is embarrassed and doesnt really want to talk about it so i thought to reach out to others .
looking at the first page on the penis...his looks absolutely nothing like that. they literally look like healing ingrown hair bumps. could it be something else?
It could be something else, but "clusters of blisters" would usually be herpes, though it could be something like ingrown hairs (folliculitis) or a reaction to balanitis (male thrush). It's hard to say without seeing a picture though. If I had blisters around my genitals, I wouldn't want to have sex (even with a condom) until a doctor had taken a look.
If you want to post pictures, you need to be on a PC or laptop. If you are, then you should see some extra icons towards the top right of where you type, and the right hand icon (which I think is supposed to look like the sun over mountains) will add images.
The pic I've attached here shows the icons:
