About 2 months ago, on 1 fine night, I started to have excessive salivation which tends to be worse at night. At first, I felt weird and thought it would go off after a few days. Days went by (confusion, frustration, discomfort and anxiety went up the roof) but it still didn't go off.
Went for an endoscopy as the doctor suspected GERD. He then found severe H.pylori infection and gastritis and I was prescribed 2 weeks of antibiotics. Throughout the 2 weeks, my symptoms improved but only a little. Upon the antibiotics completion, I was told to do a urea breath test after a month. Throughout the month, I controlled my diet but the excessive salivation is still there.
Then, I did the test and it came back negative (H.pylori eradicated). The doctor only gave me Nexium to take if I have heartburn or gastritis but I don't. In fact, my excessive salivation continued.
What could be the cause? Is it really GERD or did the doctor missed out something?
