Hi Ian ---- welcome back and well done you brave brave man !!! and no stitches ?

good for you and I mean it .... take it easy, nevertheless -

Question: what is : Totsiens MrH. - are you in South Africa ?  I live in Holland and would write : Tot Ziens !!!

Hi Ian ~ well done you!! I am not your age but am very interested in your experience.

Did you have the whole hip replacement operation with epidural??????????? Could you hear everything? What was it like? Thats sounds pretty brave. I hope you don't mind but I am considering surgery now and am trying to learn about the options.

I think you must be delighted it is over! Well done you!

Hi Renee no I live in Blackpool UK but lived in SA for 20 years , been back for fifteen years now,yes this is the first morning home and had a good nights sleep with 2 Tramadol + 5mg Amatriptyline jut need the Tramadols every 5 hrs will just take it easy and read this morning in bed and probably dose a little, then try a walk if the sun shines this afternoon just around the block with two crutches as support, thanks for showing an interest im me, it is still quite swolen compared to my left leg but will go down in time for sure.  Cheers for now and kindest regards.  Totsiens Ian.

Hi Ian, I had epidural too with light sedation (and fell asleep).   I was glued and had a few stera strips, great isn't it?  Better than stitches or staples.  I was 71 at the time. Take it easy and best wishes for a good recovery.

Well done Ian, glad you had a good nights sleep. I have one more day to go before my op. Feeling a bit nervous now but the pain can't be any worse lol.

Hi... get it done befor you loose some muscle in your legs and I asked to be put to sleep in the operation I was two hours on the table and did not hear or small anything with the Epidural, so dont fear it it was very good not to have stiches too I was surprised, but do do the excercises and walk about in the ward every hour then sleep if you have to now I am home and had it done Saturday afternoon, Wednesday now, quick and easy, now must make a slow but steady recovery.  KInd regards and thanks for looking in on my blog here. Ian.
