Today and 2 weeks ago, I got an anxiety attach with burning in the chest that radiated throughout my body. The first time my husband called 911 and I was taken to ER. I was given 2 separate ECGs and 2 separate blood tests to rule out a stroke. They didn't find anything. They considered it to be a Panic Attach. Today I didn't call 911. How I handled it today was to take an Meds (Atavan) and 5 chewable 81 ml aspirins. I caught it before starting total body shakes. I've had panic attacks since I was 40 years of age. Most of them were the results of waking from a sleep, some medication and exposure to smoke. I was able to bring down my blood pressure today by meditating for about 30 minutes. I think I'm going to do a lot more medication.
good for you!! I really like a short meditation called stop panic attacks now. She guides you through the panic attack and my breathing and heart rate really get under control. It really works!
it’s on YouTube.
Panic attacks can be very frightening, burning in chest and chest palpitations are no fun!! Glad your ok!!
Oh. So that’s panic attack. Good to know you’re ok now.
have you looked into the condition call Seasonal Affective Disorder. my anxiety and depression comes this time of year and i think it may be due to that. have ordered a light lamp to see if it helps. also a book called Winter Blues is helpful. have increased my dose of prozac to 40mg and still waiting for it to totally kick in, but think i am doing better. am sitting inthe summerhouse in the sunshine with my morning coffee to try and get some sun therapy. hope it works!
