Where do i start. I started with a slight cough moths ago. A month ago my dentist felt a lump in my neck. Since then its all gone down hill. My cough had got dramatically worse. I can no longer go to the gym or do sports because of it. I been given steroids, antibiotics piriton and sprays and they havnt worked. I cant stop touching, feeling, prodding and poking the lump in my neck. I keep gettin a feeling my theoat is closing up. All in all i am a mess at thw minute cant function properly and want to cry all the time.

I have a lump on my neck too rachna. Have you been to the doctors ?
yes i have been and did mri they found nothing, but the problem is it pains a lot. Me too had fever and since then am coughing a lot. I am on antihistamines since 6 months now due to hives..besides i Have panic attack when my neck swells up
That lump in your neck is fairly common. It's a symptom of enlarged lymph nodes. This could be caused by numerous things, such as tonsillitis, strep throat, Grave's Disease (which includes anxiety as a symptom too, by the way). Have you had your thyroid checked? Grave's Disease is an autoimmune disorder caused by excessive thyroid production... Not trying to scare you or anything... I hope you figure this out. Now that I think about it, enlarged lymph nodes, fever, and cough, sound a lot like you've gotten strep throat.
Thanks for the reply everyone. I have been to the docs a number of times and noone had mentioned strep throat but i dont have a fever. I am now worrying i have throat cancer. I need to stop googling my symptoms as this just makes me 100 times worse but i cant seem to stop !!!
These are some of the things people experience with a strep throat ~
Pain circumstances: can occur while swallowing
Whole body: fever, chills, or malaise
Gastrointestinal: nausea or vomiting
Also common: sore throat, enlarged neck lymph nodes, swollen tonsils, tender lymph nodes, tonsil exudate, bad breath, or headache
Yeah.. Looking stuff up, can make you start feeling like you're experiencing life-threatening things.
