There is a private GP who offers a telephone consultation for naltrexone when used for The Sinclair Method. She is really nice, and thoroughly understands the treatment, so as long as it is medically suitable for you, getting the prescription is not a problem.
She charges £120 for the telephone consultation and she sends you a prescription for 3 months worth of tablets. You then take that prescription to a chemist and buy the naltrexone that way.
After you are settled on the treatment, she will then write to your NHS GP and request them to continue your prescription. Although not guaranteed that they will, she is getting great success with this because what most GPs are looking for is a recommendation from a specialist who has assessed and prescribed first.
You cannot just order naltrexone online in the UK because it is a prescription-only medication. You could order from abroad of course, and some have done that, but this particular doctor works out far less expensive than doing that and you are guaranteed to get the real medication along with the chance of getting it on the NHS a few months down the line too.
