Is it normal to not have OB of ghsv1 in 6 years ? Considering that the stressors I’ve came across in that time ? & I’ve been with my boyfriend 3 years what’s the likeliness of him catching it considering asymptotic shedding is so lower and decrease’s over time and no outbreaks ?
Yes it happens. Always unpredictable.
May be also he got it from you but no symptoms.
How has he gotten it from me , if I haven’t had no outbreaks .. haven’t had one in six years ? Experts say genital to genital hsv1 transmission is low & shedding is 3-4% ? That makes it very unlikely .
Many people are just carriers and never know they have it coz they never have outbreaks. Thats the reason why herpes is widely spread now.
Also you can notice here in this forum that genital herpes type 1 became widely spread in last years.
Unlikely doesnot mean impossible. Let him do blood test and go on with protected sex anyway.
