Hi all,
Had Gilbert's a few years now. I'm 29 and male.
I find that anytime I get Ill, anything from a common cold to the flu it takes me several weeks to get over it.
Does anybody know how to deal with this? Vitamins, certain foods etc? Drugs lol
I eat very healthily and I'm active. I go to the gym etc
HEEELLLLLPPPPP!
Hi there . At the moment there is nothing that can be done about the length of time it takes to recover from illness. Do you have symptoms daily or just longer time recovering from illness? If not your very lucky as alot of people do get symptoms with gilberts . Also I heard wheatgrass is great for faster recovery but I ain't tried it yet.
Hi
I only get the symptoms when I'm sick. Like this past week I've had a cold/flu/chesty cough.
When I've Googled dealing with high levels of high bilirubin it seems serious but it's as if no doctors cafe about gilberts
Oh well that's good then . Am 21 and really struggling with alot of symptoms which hopefully will get better but doctors will not acknowledge gilberts at all. If you have facebook join the group life with gilberts syndrome and also gilberts syndrome research questions and answers . Great pages
I've only just been diagnosed with Gilberts, but have had many of the symptoms people talk about for a few years, including this one. I found that going onto a really really low fat diet for a few days massively improved my recovery after colds.
