Ginger works for me.

i have been drinking a smoothie every day not only for pmr but also for my bones. I add everything I can think of plus ginger, and my reduction has been going very well. I am now down to 2mg of pred in a year. The last 2 days I was out of ginger and felt tired and achey. This morning I raced to the store and got some more. I'll never run out again, the powdered stuff doesn't work for me.

Hi .Do you use the root hi ginger?

I have a cup of ginger tea (grated fresh ginger root) every evening.  If I forget, I do notice!

Yes, fresh ginger root.

And  turmeric is great for inflammation. I do a shot (drink) everyday with ginger turmeric lemon sea salt and honey. Blend it. Oh and black pepper. Suppose to be great for inflammation. Oh and coconut water brain fog here. If anyone wants the recipe I will send it

Yes, I've read that the piperine in black pepper makes the anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric many times more bioavailable. smile

anhaga, you are the best for info. thanks so much.

Thank YOU for the recipe!

Thank you!! Does it last a good while in the fridge?

Me to please

Anniecurd, could you list the foods you use in your smoothie please. I'm always looking for new ways to get more vegetables and fruits in my diet.

I have crystallized ginger quite often after dinner. Have you tried that?

I make a fresh one every week.

I love crystallized ginger, I made some for Christmas.

For my smoothie I take

one half cup of fruit juice, coconut or other nut milk

a handful of kale (for bones)

a stalk of celery

a banana

an apple, pear or other piece of fruit

some pineapple (for inflammation)

a chunk of ginger

a tspn of turmeric

a couple twists of pepper

a tspn of coconut oil

sprigs of different herbs from the garden

whatever weeds I have in the yard (dandelion, purslane, chickweed, etc),  there are a lot of weeds that are very nutritious, just make sure they're not sprayed. I throw it all in the blender and drink the whole thing around 3pm when I need a pick-me-up. I actually double it because my daughter wants one every day too, which is good because she's always on the go.

Thank you 😍 You guys have been the best thing that has happened to me in along time!!!!!

Turmeric made into a paste with olive oil and black pepper. There's no ginger in it.

So no, it won't be the same.
