Hi everyone,
Sooo glad i stumbled across this website today.
Have suffered Anxiety symptoms in past eg Panic attacks , chest tightness, heart palpatations etc (YOU ALL KNOW THE SCORE! )
Anyway have been suffering with GH symptoms on and off for 4-5 months( self diagnosed as dont want to bother Doctor again-sure he ll think Im a hypochondriac )
If feeling like you have an egg in your throat and thinking your being strangled is GH then I have it !!!!!
Thing is I dont feel stressed at moment but now Im starting to feel anxious because of this.Sometimes it lasts for minutes and today Ive had it for hours.
Has anyone got any non medicated ideas for coping with this strange thing. I find it so hard not to focus on my throat when its happening which of course make it worse !
Im 44 with two kids by the way .
thanks in advance  :
Hi Fluff,as recent sufferer 4 months after loss of best friend & sweet neighbour also, then beloved dog having stroke to follow up with breast cancer scare!Led to this site & held off medical route to address issues in my life. Well can only say hun it worked it's gone. Hope this helps & gives support as it's awful. Get checked out by all means sensible route but seems mostly it is our bodies trying to tell us we are not listening to ourselves. Hope this is case for u & u can get to the other side of it.
Replied to pay back this site for what it gave me. Much love to u Val
so glad like you, not to be the only one with this nightmare..... still not sure this is what i have cus iv also been having really bad throat infections. but the feeling of the egg stuck in my throat has been going on for months and i just googled throat symptoms and found this site
Hello,
You mentioned that it also feels like someone is strangling you---is this a pressure feeling as well as the lump/egg feeling going up and down? Because this is what I have---I hate both feelings but I have to say the pressure one is very uncomfortable. The feeling like something is stuck in my throat is more annoying but the pressure scares me. My friend just died instantly and they said his esophagus burst. I am afraid because they say that the Globus may also be related to Gerd--which if you don't get it under control can lead to serious complications of the esophagus. Anyway, just wanted to know if you felt this "pressure" too because whenever I read anyone's description, I haven't found anyone writing about the pressure end of it. Thank u
