Glaucoma

I was diagnosed early Glaucoma in Dec, 2015. My eye sight was alright then and it is almost the same even now with minor decrease possibly due to aging. Various eye drops were tried initially and discontinued as these further dropped my already low BP and/or Heart rate. Hence, settled down with Travatan once a day and Azopt twice a day for the last 2.5 years. I had been feeling itching all over my body since many years in winters which I thought was due to use of heater in my room besides hot showers. About a year back, my itching with red patches greatly increased/ became highly uncomfortable. Never thought it could due to glaucoma eye drops (Travatan and/or Azopt). Recently I diagnosed that it is due to use of Azopt eye drops. The Doc suggested TRUSOPT (Dorzolamide Hydrochloride) eye drops instead of Azopt for the last 2 weeks. I like to have the views of others who had using these drops. In my case itching problem has slightly decreased but not much thus still remaining uncomfortable.

Hi Iqbal, you posted in the wrong forum, so you may not get the contributions you deserve here. Find the Glaucoma forum and re-post there.

All the best; my wife also uses some of the meds like you, but no itches, perhaps because we live in a different climate.

Thanks. I will try to find my old write up and do as you advised. Regards

Mr Emmanuel,
Occasionally i have been using to post my messages in this way without knowing that it will go in the same group under which 'New Discussion ’ option appeared. To my understanding it could be a different Group.
I am not too well conversant with computer matters. I tried to re-post by ‘copying and pasting’ without again typing all details but failed to do so.
