today I'm 5.5 weeks into healing post op, and my focus is changing to a slightly more external focus.
i've seen my Alexandra Technique teacher yesterday, and been encouraged to mentally orientate my loose neck, shoulders, long back and pelvis thru to knees and ankles, and glide over the earth, slight swing of arms, so as to improve my posture and sense of well being in recovery. Was good...mindfullness approach..
today my first Tai Chi lesson since the Op. Again I'll be careful, but feel I'm slowly rejoining the human race again.
Did you do Tai Chi before your op? There is a Tai Chi class at our Leisure Centre but its the same time as my swimming session. I have done some Alexandra Technique in the past, but must remember to glide over the earth in future!
zumba!!! i used to do zumba or rather i used to try to do zumba but it actually turned into laughter therapy as me and my friends crashed into each other or just stood and looked confused - laughter therapy is good but i am rather concerned about grashing into someone on my operated side!
