Hi - iam new on here and have had a similar lump feeling in my throat now for about five years.  I had it checked out about 2 years ago, I tought it was my tonsils and the doc took them out as a precaution but could find nothing wrong with me. I find that when I get it I am ok in the morning after a good sleep but it tends to get worse during the day and eases when eating and drinking - I do not suffer from acid reflux.  It comes and goes sometimes worse than others - I have learned to live with it but often worry about it.  Just an uncomfortable feeling of tension or lump in the throat.  I have not been diagnosed with anything as I find the sensation hard to explain if I went to the doctors but from what I read on here a few people seem to be experiencing similar problems.

I have also been experiencing this for the past 7 months. I have had the scoping through the nose and put on a special diet for Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR), which is a silent reflux that you don't even know you have. You can check it out online. I am disappointed that the globus sensation never goes away completely.

I have the exact same symptons as you mentioned. I also feel that it comes and goes based on stress levels. Does anyone agree with that? As soon as I feel it, I become anxious and it seems to get worse. Does it ever go away? Is anyone on any type of medication that has helped? Please advise! Thanks so much for sharing your experience. At least I know that I am not alone.

Yes I also find it gets worse with stress levels.

let me know how things go and if you find a way of releaving it.

I also have the same thing.. Its very annoying and yes it causes stress. I take prilosec twice a day and live on malox and nothing is helping.. sad

I wish I had a magic answer for you cmid79. So far, same thing, but I do notice that it is better when I am not working. Therefore I think it is driven by stress. Let's keep hoping that someone will have a treatment plan that will work for all of us.

I tend to agree with you debra77872, this does seem to be stress related.
