Going back to work

I have had 2 days off work, while my medication is changed. going back tomorrow, but really worried about it. Don't know how I will cope, I'm  just so worried. Tomorrow will be hard, only be second day on the new medication. Don't know what to do.

Hi Are the new drugs giving you anxiety is that why you are worried. There are two ways of looking at it. Going to work may take your mind off of things and make the day go quicker or if you really don't think you can cope can you not stay off untill Monday, give yourself tomorrow and the weekend to get used to them or stay off for a couple more days than that if necessary, I'm sure you're doctor would write you a sick note. I have just had 3 weeks off work as I withdrew from 5 horrible medications the doctors had put me on for back pain including tramadol and diazepam, the anxiety was awful and there's no way I could have worked. The doctor wrote on my sick note "anxiety due to change in medication" but I spoke to personnel and told them the full story and they were really sympathetic. I don't know what you do or what your boss is like but sometimes you have to put yourself and your health first.

Are you able to take more time off work?  Did you get a sick note from your doctor?  Sounds like you need a bit more time off work,so see if your doctor can help by giving you a sick note for more time off.  If you don't feel you can cope, then probably best you don't go back to work yet.  I had lots of time off work because of my illness.  If you are paid whilst off sick, then take advantage of it.  If you are self empoloyed and not paid whilst off sick then I understand that must be difficult for you.

Medication takes time to work, so I honestly think you should give yourself a bit more time at home.

Hi there, my advise is to try and keep your routine but if it's becoming difficult to continue to work get signed off.
