Hey everyone! I’ve been on Zoloft 100 mg for over a year now. I think I had a few minor side effects when I first started (increased anxiety and depression). My anxiety has increased a lot recently and my doctor prescribed 150 mg of Zoloft. Is there a risk of side effects when I’ve already been on it this long? And how do I know if it’s not working?
If you’ve been on sertraline for over a year and it’s been working there’s no reason to believe it wouldn’t work at a higher mg, sounds like you just built up your tolerance to 100mg is all. As far as side effects go most people do have them on increases of sertraline but there not as bad as when you started. And you said yours weren’t bad anyway so you should be good. Happy trails!!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it 😊
No problem Sophie, anytime!!
Also can I take the 100 mg and the 50 at separate times?
Ok so I took the 100 mg last night and have just started taking the 50 mg. My feet have become very restless and won’t stop bouncing up and down. Is this normal?
Hi Sophie, I’ve read many post that say you can take your sertraline at separate times with no problem but I would call your pharmacist or Dr just to be on the safe side. I personally have split my meds when I first started sert and it helped a lot with my side effects! Good luck
Hi again Sophie, I’ve personally never had my feet bouncing up and down before, but I’ve had the very restless side effect and had and still do most nights restless leg syndrome.
Thanks again! I kinda just did it anyway 🤷♀️
Yeah it started with my feet and then spread to my whole body. But it’s stopped now for the most part. Lasted for a couple hours.
