Going out for lunch

Hi all

I just wanted to ask for your opinions please. I am going out for lunch today for someones birthday and thought we were going to the Harvester - perfect for me, i could fill my plate with salad and grilled chicken.

However I have now been told we are going to a pub!! I know the menu and salads aren't on it! I plan to eat as healthyily as I can but should I take a tablet or not when I know I won't be able to keep to the 15g max of fat I'm allowed.

Thanks for any help!

Hi Bum,

if i have to go out for a meal I still take a tab as I find that thought in the back of my mind that I could have an orange oil attack helps me to make more sensible choices.

OK, there are no salads etc on the menu but no one is going to force you to pick chips and most places will leave off sauces etc if you ask them to.

Enjoy yr meal - at the very least you will find out what you can get away with.

Thanks Lelly!

I went for a Ceaser Salad with roast chicken but had the dressing on the side, skinned the chicken and left most of the croutons. I did have a few chips but it was so much better than I would usually have so am quite pleased - I just hope I stay this way with very few trips to the ladies this afternoon!!

Fabulous! You found something tasty but not too naughty.

You may find that was OK as you avoided most of the fats.

Good luck!
