Going to the loo loads, loosing weight fast, worried

Hi,

I am really getting worried now. I have been on 20mg of Citalopram for 5 weeks and I am peeing for England!

I am eating like to a horse to try to put some weight back on, but I have lost over a stone.

I am drinking a lot of water, which I have always done, but just pee it straight out.

I though it could be anxiety, but the Citalopram has mostly stopped that.

I must be peeing pounds off every day.

Anyone had experience with this?

Does it stop?

Any help or advice would be great.

Kind regards

Sophie ☺

Hi Sophie,

Hang in there yes normal to urinate a lot I must turn a few heads at work with multiple visit to the bathroom, one way to think of it is think of all the good you're doing to the brain you are fixing the anxiety like a bandage yet there must be a temporary sacrifice which is weight lose head ache other common side effects keep smiling stay positive is the key through every bump in the road.

Hi Stevo

Thanks for your reply.

In your experience is frequent urination temporary?

Thanks again

It’s a tricky one Sophie, as I drink a lot anyway so getting a fair comparison, however it has reduced I think, if you drink a more purified liquid ‘water’ that seems to process thru the system quicker? I’m sure this among the other side effects will decrease to nothing after time…….. Hope that helps hang in there trake care
