Today I played 18 holes of golf, first golf since my op 11 weeks ago. The first 9 holes I was a little wary of what I was doing with the clubs, played well on the back nine. No pain, first time for about 4 years, I used to take painkillers before and during the round. Just for the golfers, 9 points scored on the front nine and 20 on the back nine. Can only get better.
Well done Tony that's impressive. So were you doing a full swing? I'm 13 wpo but my club course is pretty hilly so am leaving it a bit longer b4 getting the clubs out. Still can't do laces up either
3/4 swing, the front of the course is quite flat and the last four holes hilly. I still struggle with laces, I need to put my foot on a step to do them up. Tony
cool .... how are you feeling this morning?
This is something to celebrate Tony !!!!!!!

Well done,
Now your beginning to get on my nerves----- only kidding. I'm just a tad jealous. How did you get on more than 29 points this time and no ill effects
The first nine holes on sat I was very cautious, plus the course was wet/heavy. After that i gained confidence and managed to play some good shots. On Sunday my legs were tired and I just played 15 holes, a friendly round. Don't forget after my op I walked quite a lot. I am pleased though that life is pain free and getting back to normal.
In the middle of England Renee. My op was NHS at an orthopaedic hospital with a fantastic reputation. I could have gone to a private hospital paid for by NHS but declined . Tony
