As the title suggests....i've finally done it! Has anyone else been to Belguim for their op? what were your experiences?
Also, has anyone else had the sleeve? I seem to talk to more banders and bypassers!

Why Belgium? What's wrong with the NHS? Sorry, I shouldn't have asked. Are you fully aware that this is a serious operation, the outcomes of which are not fully understood. I'd advise you to at least appear to take it more seriously.
Hi Homo - why should I expect the NHS to pay for my operation? Given that I abused my body with food and alcohol and I chose an unhealthy lifestyle...........it's not the NHS' responsibility to fix me......it's mine!
Oh, just so you're aware - I am taking this seriously!!! I have a medical background having spent 6 years at med school. Between my background, masses of research on the different surgery types and the fact that I am currently booked in with one of Europe's leading bariatric surgeons - I feel that this makes me (what did you say?) "appear to take it more seriously".
The reason that I have posted the above is that I would like to know about people's 'personal' experiences.............i know the hard medical facts!!
Homo, I am not some silly little girl, who woke up one morning thinking "Oohh, I might have some surgery today!!!" if you're only replying to my thread to question my understanding of what I am about to go through...............unless you can tell me about your experiences, well, probably best that you find another discussion to join.
