Hi Gill

Thank you for yr warm wishes. I go in on Tuesday for my first hip op, then back on the waiting list for second one after 6 week check. It was scheduled for 7th May but got cancelled the night before so I've got my fingers crossed this time. Need to start this so it can be over with.

I'm so pleased yr still doing so well and still smiling!

Hi Gill

You sound remarkable after only two weeks, it is really positive, I will remember this when I have my op in July.

Derek I never thought for one moment it would be like this. But the remarkability of having no pain and being able to stand up straight is wonderful. I'm sure you will know what I mean when your turn comes.

You are having the same feelings as all of us. I too was very nervous until the week before my op, then I was extremely calm as I could see the end of the tunnel. Heres hoping you can do the same too.xx

Hi Gill

Been reading your postings

I am 63 yrs old and have been waiting 40 weeks for a RTHR. Had one cancellation on 20th May so fingers crossed this time ( not legs of course!)

Having always been so active, I am so fed up with having to shuffle around and am worn out with the pain

I just cannot wait for my op. - 8 days to go! Your positive words and your progress are so encouraging. Looking forward to my new life with my new hip! Hope I get on as well as you.

kind regards and wishing you well with your continuing recovery

Linda

The day after my op and they got me out of bed I just wanted to stand up all day as I felt so good. I really hope you feel the same, I really didn't think I was such a grouch before the op, but last week my Son said "I've got my Mum back" that made me realise just how miserable I had been and now I just smile all day and nothing seems to get me down even the damned injections Fingers crossed for 8 days time stay calm it will all come right in the end Love Gillxx

I found your message very encouraging, Gill. I will be having my hip op on Thursday and although I am a little nervous I hope to be doing as well as you in a couple of week's time.

I hope you recovery continues to go well.

Jo

great to hear you are doing so well. Last time I was on this site you were waiting for op and very nervous. I have an op date for 28th June but now have high BP for the first time in my life and have to get that down so op may be postponed.
