Good meds or good Docs

I'm 12 weeks post op. Thr.  I was running a temperature 102 called the doctor. The covering physician told me to go to the emergency room.

I have had a lot of pain in my lower back, due to overstraining at PT

i guess they are worried about infection of the hip replacement.  I could hardly walk, pain nausea I felt on fre.  Long story short, they hooked me up to drips, machines etc. I was discharged six hrs later. I walked out of the hospital  without an ounce of discomfort, no fever a miracle.

The question I have,  is the rate of progress due to meds? Or good Doctors

I f one is more comfortable from lack of pain, then recovery maybe more rapid.

Hi Margaret, glad you seem to be OK now...I had some lower back pain around 12 weeks too thought it was probably cos I'd been limping so long...but....now 19 weeks I think and ALL pain gone...there really is pain free light at the end of the tunnel!!

Don't know what was in the drip but it sounds good stuff and sensible doc.

Glad things are looking up - long may it continue.

are you in the uk if so which hospital was this were you went could do to go myself 4 a quick fix like you i can't get shut of my back pain so nice to here you was so lucky to get careing doctors and hospital like that.

so happy for you hope you never have to go through the same again.

take care

Sounds like u could had been dehydrated. They gave u fluids or meds thru IV?

I just went on my past experience same symptoms u described. After surgery it's important to drink plenty of water daily. I get dehydrated easily.

glad that UR better.

HOPE

Really glad to hear that! That's my story . . . 12 weeks and limping TOO long. I don't limp when I have a cane in hand. Looking forward to 19 weeks (or so)!!! GrannaOnTheFarm
