You will remember I wrote two weeks' ago when i had just had my op cancelled the afternoon before due to an emergency. Well they gave me another date one month on in the second week in December, which I was pleased I had another date but slightly miffed it was two weeks before Christmas.
Well Monday afternoon I had a phonecall to say someone had cancelled for this Friday, and if we were prepared to drive over to Manchester yesterday for my pre-op - my third to date I could have the slot. (My previous pre op had expired by 4 days.) So off we went was declared fit and now looking forward (wish I was) to Friday.
At lease hopefully I will feel more up to Christmas at four weeks post op.
I had my first TKR in Dec 2012 and came out the week before Christmas. The only downside was the weather, when trying to get out and exercise. I live on my own, so my 87 year-old Dad was trying to do odd bits of shopping for me, and I had my first Physio appt on New Year's Eve.

Thanks to you all for prayers and good wishes. Pretty well ready. Just been to hairdressers to have a cut and blow dry. Jump everytime the phone rings in case another cancellation.
