I retch every second morning-just bile coming out. Am on tablets that is supposed to stop this and also Gaviscon advance.
Is this normal and despite endoscopies-which showed up hiatis hernia 3cm-do I have to live with this. I live in a very stresful environmental as my wife has mental health problems..
The doctors etc treat it as an extension of I.B.S-and they say to me that to much invasive surgery is not good..
So what di I do.?.
This must be so stressful for you . It can be quite horrible especially when you know that you are already on medication . What meds are you taking for it . I'm on omeprozole and gaviscon and still getting probs . Mine is silent reflux and is effecting my throat but no heartburn. So I can understand how you feel. I'm getting stressed too

Hi.sorry for delay-WiFi playing up. I am on a drug called esomeprazole. 20 mg capsule twice daily and gaviscon advance. I have been on several anti gastro drugs but few have agreed with me. So as usual this morning before food and tablets I retch and all that comes out is bile and then after that I feel better. I am seeing my Dr again soon as well as the consultant but should I have to put up with this for the rest of my life. If so-then so be it. I think they do not like doing too many endoscopic on you. I do have a few glasses of wine in the day and like a smoke only when I drink but I know they will say to pack it in completely. Stressed out.
Hi. Yes I have a very dry mouth in the morning despite using solutions that are for this.it might be the tablets I am on but I know if I do not retch first thing in the morning before medication and food I feel sick all day and it is the bile that causes it and it really stressiss me out. I am due to see my Dr soon plus the specialist but do I have to put up with this for the rest of my life. I am 72.
I do drink a few glasses of wine a day and have a smoke when doing that and they will say that I should pack it in but they do not have to live with a wife that has mental health problems.
I get a sore throat just where the voice box is and it seems to swell . Sometimes small particles of food seem to get stuck . Also I get a cold feeling in my mouth and throat
I know how you feel in things just not going away . Most meds don't seem to rid you from it completely . And the stress don't help but it's difficult not to .
My throat actually feels sore this evening. Fed up and this has only been happening for just over a week!
The last time I went through this it lasted 4 months! It got better after the first month but took the 4months to completely settle 😔 I've got my bottle of Gaviscon by my bed for tonight!
