Goserelin works by acting on the pituitary gland in your brain to stop the production of some of the sex hormones which your body makes naturally. It is given for a number of different conditions. It is used to treat some cancers - prostate cancer in men, and breast cancer in women. It is also given to women for some problems associated with the womb, and to help treat infertility.
