well i got a date, yes thats right !! for wed 12, yep right again this wed. i dont mind the short notice god knows i,ve waited long enough but what worrys me now is that i still have a slight sore throat, and with my luck they,ll send me home and i,ll have to wait again for an alternative date, my work mates called after hearing the news and cant believe im not nervous but after as many let downs as i,ve had until im on the trolley, im unsure of anything. but hopefully this time next week i,ll be home and on the road to recovery, i am so looking forward to getting back to work.
thought id share my news as everyone has been so supportive i know my life this past year would have been a dam site worse without patient site. thanks all :ta: and especally my pain buddy mandy  gail
I am sooooooooooooooooo pleased for you. We'll all keep everything crossed (as best we can...lol ) that there are no hiccups with beds and that the op will be a complete success. Hope everything goes really well for you Gail.
hi all well the sore throat has gone, but im still sort of in denial, like tfu said just before she went in, strange really i keep expecting them to phone and cancel as if its some sort of wind up!! my hubby has to work tomorrow so friends are running me to the hospital. im going to hate that its a long time til visiting then, but he can have thur off so he,ll be with me for my surgery(if they dont send me home), just went for my last walk before going to hospital, and my bag is packed so just eating as much fruit as poss now to keep the colds away, (im getting paranoid that their going to send me home) thanks all for your messeges and as soon as im able ill be back on line to let you know how it went, mandy will prob post saying if im having the surgery as planned on thur. gail

Thats good news Gail indeed. After you have had the Op, can you come back and let us know how it feels to be pain free? :D I have forgotten what it is like & drinking all this alcohol is giving me a 'belly' which I have not had for over 10 years!!!!!!
Watching the end of Holby City tonight (not through choice) gave me an idea of what to do the next time I go to the Docs   Have tried everything else to get something done :!:
