Got my gallbladder removed today, now the incision hurts when i breathe?

I had my gallbladder removed today. I felt great at first, i was walking around and had minimal pain. I go to lay down to sleep and now the incision hurts when i try to take a deep breath. Earlier on in the day i was testing my breathing with the instrument the hospital gives you and was maxing it out everytime, now i can barely get it up. Just wanted to see if anyone had any similar experiences or some tips/insight. (Just to clarify, my lungs are not whats hurting, its the incision where my gallbladder was on my right side).

dude, you just had major surgery what are you expecting

well being 21 years old and never having surgery before, I didnt know what to expect. Thats why i asked a question. No need to be a smartass.

it does not take a degree to realise you have just had an organ removed not 24 hours ago.. you are bound to feel pain and discomfort. thats not being a “smart arse” thats being logical.

also stop with the breathing machine. you have internal stitches that you are putting pressure on for no reason! bit of common sense please.

I think that would be normal. I am 5 weeks in and back to work now it does get better but I am sore this morning on my right side because I slept on it so if after 5 weeks that can happen don’t worry it is normal what you are experiencing.
