I got my timescale for op. late june or early July. If I had not researched the op prior to seeing consultant, i would have been put off. Iknow they have to tell the possible pitfalls so it is good to have the internet and fprums like this to find out informetion before seeing consultant.

Going private as at least a year waiting list . The surgeon is off 3 weeks in June so won't get earlier. I had asked gp to refer me to another consultant because I knew this one was off but for some reason the referral was made to the one going off on leave . I just take it as fate. Anyway a few weeks gives me time to get thinks in place as my deterioration was due to a stumble that took me from 6 to 10 in a second. My wish is that this consultant will come back refreshedd and do a great job.
