Got tested a day after having sex, but is this herpes?

I was sexually active with my girlfriend for 6 months, when she finally told me that she had herpes. We had sex a day before this, and immediately after finding out I went to get tested. The test results were negative, however, a couple weeks later (not having had sex since then because I was still emotional about the situation), I got a rash on both sides of my inner thigh, groin area. Ones closest to my buttocks are newer. Is this herpes?

Sometimes it takes a little bit of time for the antibodies to show. I would go to your doctor. Better to get things looked at and have your blood drawn again.

Hard to say. Did you get it swab tested? Which herpes type does she have?

First time you get anything like that? Does it itch, burn? Any tingling before it happen? Definitely have to get a looked at and swabbed if possible, don't get an IgM test like I did, youll be lost in sauce of information of how your diagnosed. Get and IgG blood test only!
