just back from work, enjoyed the drive, beginning to feel really comfortable again whilst driving.
Work went well, was asked to do an urgent stain for TB, it was positive. First one I have seen in years, felt so lucky I was the one to do it. Sad person you may say but it is part of what makes my job so interesting

Hi Maggie
Soooo good, and yes I understand your excitement at seeing the TB: working in Africa i felt that way when diagnosing a new parasite from a stool!
Hope recovery keeps on track! and keep wine glass full....

I was lucky enough to spend a short time in Ethiopia, even saw someone with elephantiasis.
Great news to hea your recovery went so we.. It's so indescribable how it feels to be back to driving and working again.
My my sons friend is a volunteer for the world health league and he just got back from Africa assisting doctors doing hip replacements. There is always hope for helping many countries who don't have all the luxuries we have available to us!
Hi Maggie,
It's so nice to get back to normal, isn't it? It's better again when your work is so rewarding and satisfying.
Is TB still on the increase then? I used to work for the nurses in the department of health and part of their jobs was to screen the asylum seekers for diseases like TB as it was quite common amongst them, as were other diseases that had almost been eradicated in the UK.
I'm still a good 4 weeks away from being able to drive but I'm looking forward to it already 😀
Being able to drive again is such a great step forward.
we do not get many TB's, which is why I was so pleased to get a positive today
Well done Maggie, keep it up, enjoy your new pain free life,
love
Lynne xx
