Grey perineum?

I'm 25 and due to a traumatic event when i was younger I have never looked or touched my vulva. I'm finally trying to face my fears so I sat down and looked down there with a mirror. I noticed that area between my vulva and anus which I now know is called the perineum is a lot darker than the rest of my skin, it looks almost grey/brown in colour, is this normal? I shower everyday so it's not down to hygiene. Not sure whether to go to my gp or not.

Its totally normal. The skin around the vulva can be all sorts of colours from palest pink to deep purplish black. It varies from one female to the next. We are all different. you are fine.
