I have been on venlafaxine for 4 months and I have just been to dentist. I have cracked 3 fillings. Dentist says that this is because I have been grinding my teeth. My teeth were ok 6 months ago so this has only happened since I went on venlafaxine. Has anyone else had this problem.
hi.. I have the same problem, grinding my teeth. The dentist made me something to wear at night to stop me from wearing my teeth down. he made a mould of my teeth then made it, so it fits perfectly. this also stops me from biting my tongue all tge time
Yes, but I don't think it was anything to do with venlafaxine. More likely stress and tension. I wear a special mouth guard, have done for years. They gave improved over time, cracked a few too! Cost around £100 perhaps. It's important to get one else u will literally grind them down and create problems that way (IMO).

I think you are right. It is not a side effect of medication, but stress related.
