2 years ago I had my right knee replaced. 8 months ago I had my left knee replaced. I started having left hip issues so almost 4 months ago I had my left hip replaced. I went through the usual pt sessions. Continuing to do exercises at home. A few months ago I started getting sharp pains in my groin. Went to my surgeon for regular check up and told him about it. He said I need to do more strengthening exercises. I have been using treadmill and bought another piece of equipment to strengthen my leg. The pain has gotten worse. Last trip to surgeon he said I need to continue strength training. Said i most likely have tendonitis in psoas. He can't give me a shot due to being too soon after surgery. Continue to work it. I am back to using my cane so much pain. A week ago I stumbled over extension cord and landed on op leg (knee and hip). I jammed it pretty hard. Now my groin pain is worse and have pain under knee cap. Can't walk without cane. Surgeon says keep working psoas but I've read I should let it rest. I see Dr again in 4 weeks. I'm totally discouraged. Couldn't snowmobile this winter. Now we are heading into golfing, fishing and drag racing (husband not me) I can't do anything. Any suggestions?

Yes, go see someone who cares. Research and perhaps insist on bone scan or x-ray. Doctors are of varying quality!! Good luck.
"IF" it is your Posas and it's tendonitis, then rest it. I'm in the same place. Any movement like biking, walking up stairs, or leg lifts to name just a few will further aggravate the Posas. The pain does not subside soon, mine is taking months to calm down. I tried too hard to build my muscles 11 mos post surgery and really did some damage.
Ask for PT and be sure the therapist knows how much pain you are in. If it hurts. don't do it.
